We started Queal to make great nutrition both convenient and balanced - something that simply wasn't available when we launched in 2014. Our founders, Onno and Floris, were frustrated by the lack of quick yet genuinely healthy meal options, particularly as an alternative to the Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) that dominates fast food culture.


That summer, after extensive research and inspired by pioneers like Rob Rhinehart's Soylent community in the USA, we saw an opportunity to bring this innovative concept to Europe where such products were completely unavailable. By August 2014, Queal was officially formed with a clear mission: making smart food choices more accessible through quick, complete meals that you can trust.


Starting in a small Dutch FDA-compliant facility, we've grown to serve tens of thousands of people daily, delivering over 7 million sustainable meals to date. Our commitment to transparency means we share our recipes openly - no proprietary secrets, just a decade of experience crafting perfect quick meals. We've evolved from version 1.0 to 6.0, each iteration improved through customer feedback and nutritional science innovations.


Today, we continue fighting against bad food choices by offering vegan meals with over 95% of ingredients sourced from Europe to minimise our carbon footprint. Queal stands for Quick + Meal - nutritious food ready in seconds, making sure good food options are always within your reach.
